JPEG replaces transparent areas with white. Output is a static image; EXIF metadata is not deliberately preserved. 1 KB = 1,024 bytes.

About this tool

Enter a width in pixels and the height is calculated automatically. The output is JPEG, so transparency is replaced with white. Enlarging an image does not restore missing detail. This tool does not crop images or impose an exact width-and-height frame.

Frequently asked questions

Can I resize to an exact width and height?

This tool keeps the original aspect ratio and calculates height from width. It does not stretch or crop to an arbitrary frame.

What are the limits?

Input up to 20 MB, 32 million pixels and 16,000 pixels per side. Output width is 1–8,000 pixels; output must also stay within the pixel and height limits.

Will quality 100 always produce the best file?

A higher quality setting usually increases JPEG file size. Choose the lowest setting that still preserves the details you need; inspect the result.
